Timing Solution - Interface

Timing Solution Interface at a First Glance

When you run the Timing Solution  program, you will get this window:

This is the Main Window. There are several sets of icons here:

- These buttons allow you to download price data, add one or more new price bar/bars, set the analyzed time frame.

- This set of buttons helps to manipulate the price chart, i.e. magnify any area of the chart, shift it, and shift/reset the Learning Boarder Cursor (LBC). Read about it here.

- These buttons are to load indicators (like MACD, RSI, and Oscillators) on the chart. Choose any indicator from the list and click the button. This button: activates the "Main Window View":

Here you can define price chart view, size and color of the line that represents the indicator on the diagram. The last button in this row, , allows to save previously created indicators as a default option.

- These buttons allow you to activate the Statistical Information window, and Natal data and Natal chart (if the version you purchased includes astrological techniques).

This information is necessary if you use the model based on astronomical cycles. In this case, it is necessary to synchronize the trade time with the real time.

4) press "Exit" to close this window.

  Price Data manipulations

If the astrological options are available in your version, click on the button to set the first trade chart data.

Price Chart Manipulations

The buttons on the left side allow you to define the operations that may be produced while you are dragging the mouse:

The button serves to magnify a part of the price diagram for seeing more details. The next button is for setting the Learning Border Cursor (LBC).

  Operations with LBC  If you click on this button , you can set the Learning Border Cursor to any place on the price chart - simply move the mouse to appropriate position and click. When LBC is set, all the data to the left will be used for training and learning purposes while the data to the right will be used for testing the models.

Other buttons related to LBC are: . The first button serves to shift LBC on one price bar ahead. The second button sets the LBC on the last price bar. This option is especially valuable when you do the final optimization (not the regular training and Back Testing of the models); in other words, when you use ALL available price bars to produce the projection line.

  Magnifying Viewed Interval To magnify any interval, press the button and drag the mouse cursor. You also can click on this button:  to activate it and then press the right mouse button and drag the cursor selecting the time interval that you want to magnify.

  Shifting Viewed Interval To shift the interval, press the left mouse button and drag it along the price chart.

You can use these buttons as well to manipulate the viewed interval:

- maximize the viewed interval, i.e. display all available price points;

  - expand the viewed interval;

- narrow the viewed interval;

- shift the viewed interval to the right;

- shift the viewed interval to the left.

Creating and Manipulating Technical Analysis Indicators

Click this button to create the Technical Analysis Indicator:

The program displays it this way (actually, two indicators have been created, the second one is RPO):

You can vary the view of these indicators right on the screen. For example, if we need to change the thickness or color for some indicator, click on its name on the screen (see the picture above). You will get the dialog box where you can vary the view parameters for the chosen indicator:

The slide bar allows to adjust the height of the screen portion where the indicators are displayed:
